What are the special properties of PVC foam board?

PVC sheet is a kind of vacuum blister film made of PVC with honeycomb mesh structure in cross section. It is used for the surface packaging of various panels, so it is also called decorative film and attached adhesive film, and is used in many industries such as building materials, packaging and medicine.

I. Mechanical properties

PVC foam board has high hardness and mechanical properties. And with the increase of molecular weight and improve, but with the increase of temperature and decline. The mechanical properties of hard PVC are good, and its elastic modulus can reach 1500-3000MPA (mercaptopropionic acid). And soft PVC elasticity of 1.5-15MPA. but elongation at break up to 200%-450%. the friction of PVC is general, static friction factor of 0.4-0.5, dynamic friction factor of 0.23.　

Second, the electrical properties

PVC foam board is a polymer with good electrical properties, but due to its own polarity, electrical insulation is not as good as PP and PE. dielectric constant, dielectric loss angle tangent and volume resistivity is large, corona resistance is not good, generally suitable for low-voltage and low-frequency insulation materials.

Third, thermal performance

The thermal stability of PVC foam board is very poor, 140 ℃ is the beginning of decomposition, melting temperature of 160 ℃. PVC has a small coefficient of linear expansion, has a flame retardant, oxidation index of up to 45 above.
